The Sega Saturn is a video game console developed by Sega and released in 1995. It is CD-based and many games for the system featured much FMV. Sega apparently provided developers with a standard method for encoding and displaying FMV: Sega FILM. This format used Cinepak video that was slightly modified to be bitstream-incompatible with standard Cinepak decoder implementations.
Another FMV format that appears on a number of Sega Saturn games is Duck TrueMotion 1 video, and Duck DK3 and DK4 IMA ADPCM audio codecs, all packaged in AVI files.
