Sega is a video game company that created and marketed a number of video games consoles once upon a time. Several consoles, such as the Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast used optical media capable of storing a lot of data. Games for these platforms often had a fair amount of FMV.

As of 2000, Sega is out of the home video game hardware market and focuses on game development.
