The 3DO console was actually a series of consoles that conformed to a particular specification. 3DO came early in the CD-ROM era and the developers seemed to be largely on their own when it came to FMV formats. In other words, there appears to be no standardized API for FMV on 3DO titles, though many games featured FMV.
