Hudson is a Japanese technology company with a particular emphasis in video games. It is rumored that their core technology division (http://www.hudson.co.jp/corp/eng/hursc/jirei.html) created a fractal/vector quantizer video codec that is used in games published for the Nintendo GameCube.
