Robert Swain is an [[FFmpeg]] developer whose initial contributions were related to the x264 interface in FFmpeg. He then worked on [[AMR]] for the [[FFmpeg Summer Of Code|Google Summer of Code 2006]] and the [[AAC]] decoder, also from the same year that was left unfinished. He is currently working to add SBR (for HE AAC v1) and PS (for HE AAC v2) support to the AAC decoder and continue working to improve its performance, features and fix bugs.
