Lemme get this straight - the spec is so bad, that there has to be a major effort to write a "usable, and clear" one?

I've never been partial to ISO specs. But there is also the bigger issue that we are not allowed to have open and free access to the latest, formal specs. Sure, you might find a draft out there but you take your chances with the accuracy. That is why I want to create truly open documents for these formats, starting with AAC. --[[User:Multimedia Mike|Multimedia Mike]] 21:35, 4 February 2006 (EST)

This portion of the MultimediaWiki tracks an effort to get an open, freely-distributable, usable, and clear specification for the Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) format.

--Multimedia Mike 21:35, 4 February 2006 (EST)
