ATRAC (Adaptive TRansform Acoustic Coding) is the collective name for audio compression technologies
developed by Sony.
This codec family includes the following codecs today:
- ATRAC
- ATRAC3
- ATRAC3plus
- ATRAC Advanced Lossless (AAL)
ATRAC-compressed audio is usually stored in WAV/AVI, RM and Oma/Omg containers.
