The Ogg format was invented by Xiph for use with the Vorbis audio codec. It has later been extended to support other codecs developed by Xiph: Theora video, FLAC audio, Speex audio, and Opus audio. OGM is an unofficial extension to include support for many other types of audio and video, including MPEG-4 video and MP3 audio.
