The Nintendo GameCube is a video game console created by Nintendo and released in 2001. It uses DVDs as its storage medium. However, the DVDs are the small type (80 mm; the regular size of a CD/DVD is 120 mm). Further, the discs are known to spindle in the opposite direction as standard DVDs.
For FMV, GameCube games are alleged to use a fractal-based, intra-coded video codec.
