Multiple-image Network Graphics

MNG is a format suitable for replacing GIF-animations, in the same way that PNG is designed to replace GIF images. It is based on PNG. As well as supporting animations, it also supports transparency.

MNG should be considered as a container format also because it can contain JPEG.
