MainConcept is a producer of codec technologies and SDKs for multimedia developers. The company is headquartered in Germany, but most of the development is done in Tomsk, Russia.

In 2007 MainConcept has licensed its H.264 technology to Adobe to include into the new release of the Flash Player.

In 2007 MainConcept was purchased by DivX.
