Full-featured, fast and portable multimedia player licensed under the GNU GPL. Uses the libavcodec codec library (and optionally the libavformat container library) from the [[FFmpeg]] project.
TCVP is a video and music player and encoder/transcoder for Unix-like operating systems released under an X11-style license. It was written by [[User:Mans|Måns Rullgård]] and Michael Ahlberg.
 
The MPlayer project also develops [[MEncoder]].
