ACDV is a video codec from the same company known for the graphics program ACDSee. The format is essentially Motion JPEG. The payload of each frame contains the 4 bytes 'JPEG' following by a self-contained, standard JPEG file.

Note that AVI files transporting this type of video data sometimes have video frames marked with '00AC'.
