G.728 is an ITU-T standard Low-Delay Code-Excited Linear Prediction (LD-CELP) codec operating at 8000 kHz, 16 kbit/sec.

G.728 is *often* framed at 20 samples (2.5ms), where each frame contains four 10-bit vectors, packed into 5 bytes.
